Background
This project was one of the first we did involving custodial cells. Our brief was to produce drawings to show services within the cell and provide drawings for cell wall prefabrication.
Approach
We coordinated the services in the void above the cells, positioning all services to give access at specific points away from the cells. The services within the cells then needed considering as these needed running in routed channel within the walls. Once this had been coordinated we had to run the high level services terminations to the positions we had coordinated in each cell.
Result
This was all done in AutoCAD and all of the drawings were successfully delivered on time to the prefab centre.
Whilst, in itself, this project did not stretch us technically, it provided a sound foundation of how coordination in secure units need to be approached
