Understanding your coordination requirement

Building services coordination across a construction project requires a solid technical understanding of the services involved. Irrespective of modelling software, Blue Thorn’s coordination starts with knowing the ins and outs of every system we are asked to coordinate. Your Blue Thorn team will spend time understanding and assessing your design intent schematics and layouts. From this, your Blue Thorn team will lay out the services to minimise maintainable points such as drains and air vents, minimise service sets, and ensure all CDM regulations are met.

Expertly managing your project

You can be assured that all aspects of your construction project will be expertly managed through Blue Thorn’s building service coordination service. Your Blue Thorn team have worked on over 300 projects which have all required specific understanding of a wide range of issues right across the construction sector. We have extensive, network based QA procedure for checking all drawings which is tailored to each individual project. Our computerised RFI (Requests for Information) system will also manage and monitor all RFIs we send you.

Starting your project from any BSRIA stage

As well as handling drawings from BSRIA Stage 4 onwards, Blue Thorn will work with drawings that are pre-stage 4. Many of our projects require a development phase, where it is acknowledged the design has not yet reached stage 4a. We will develop your project elements with engineering contractors and consultants from the start.
