Background
60 Curzon Street is a high spec complex comprising of apartments from studio flats to multi-level penthouses. This project was split in to Shell & Core and the Fit-Out.
Approach
This project was ‘Fit-Out’ only so we took services from the risers, down the corridors and into the apartments, then take services to and from the apartment service cupboards which we then coordinated.
Unlike most of our residential apartment project we worked on this from a design that had not officially reached BSRIA Stage 4a. This meant much more investigation had to be done with the spatial coordination with the architecture. Our coordination solution had to be as efficient as possible before presenting it as a ‘fait accompli’ to the architects before stating architectural alterations necessary to make the solution work.
This project was done using BIM 360 so even though it was difficult accessing other design team models everything could be checked in the BIM 360 3D environment.
